THE ORKESTRA OF THE UNDERGROUND Conceived by Ben Walsh, this outfit takes members of The Bird, Hermitude, The Crusty Suitcase Band, Ponyclub Massacre and special guest Sarangan Sriranganathan, and you have the eclectic culmination of Sydney artists that is The Orkestra of the Underground. A musical mashup of horns, sitar, synthesisers, drums, tabla, strings, Indian vocals, guitar, Bosnian Gypsy opera, decks and junk percussion.

Two of the finest percussionists in the country, Ben Walsh and Bobby Singh, tear up the dance floors with original club trax that are both soulful and heavy. No strangers to the sweaty, bass driven realms of the dance floor culture, they have been the rhytm section of Australian electronic sensation The Bird for the last fourteen years.
GLSS is an audio world tour. Eclectic remixed world tracks, spiced up with Dub-step, breaks, and live tabla / percussion, all seamlessly inter-woven for a fresh, new sound.
THE CRUSTY SUITCASE BAND This group is a blend of old school instrumentation comprising solely of horns and drums. From Mexico, Cuba, and Jamaica, to Africa, India, and Europe, horn and drum music has rocked universal dance floors long before the days of amplification. Best described as “gyp hop”, CSB is a powerhouse of original horn music drawing inspiration from all over the globe led by composer and funky drummer Ben Walsh.
